(This also helps everyone who visits the site after you.) If you can't remember how much you pay, try looking at a recent bank statement or dig out a recent bill. Step 1 of 2: British Gas recommend this new tariff

Your saving: This estimated saving shows how much we calculate you will save in the net year if you take this recommended tariff, versus what we expect you will pay if you do nothing. We calculate this based on what you’ve told us, factoring in any remaining period on your current tariff. Because Energy prices are rising fast, we include new higher energy tariffs which will apply from October 2021. You can therefore see how much you can save by fixing your price now and avoiding this price rise. On 8 th February 2021, the energy regulator OFGEM will announce that it is raising the ‘energy price cap’. This increases the amount that energy companies can charge customers to provide gas and electricity and it will result in higher prices for consumers.

How energy prices are increasing

  • This shows how much you will pay from April 1st 2021 when higher energy unit rates come into effect.
  • The energy regulator OFGEM has raised the 'energy price cap' by nearly £100 from the 1st of April. This increases how much an energy company can charge you for gas and electricity.
  • If you don't make a choice now about changing your tariff, you'll be charged a high-cost default tariff when your current deal expires. Most people are already on this default tariff - often known as the standard variable tariff (SVT).
  • You don't need to switch supplier, just make sure you're on the best value tariff with your supplier. This usually means fixing your price for a period of time (which can help protect against further price increases too).

Companies work with us because they want to keep their customers happy and give them the best deals.

If your supplier works with us, they will contact you to reduce your bill. The difference between their standard and their best deal can be hundreds of pounds a year. Otherwise we will show you a great deal from their competitors so you can switch. We also use your email to keep you updated.

Unfortunately your provider is one of the few who don't yet work with us to offer fairer deals to loyal customers. We still want to give you the chance to get a better deal so we have chosen a similar company that offers both great value and great services.

If you enter your details here, we will ask that company to call you and offer you a better deal. By entering your details you are not signing up to a new deal at this stage, you are simply asking us to contact you and offer you a great new deal.
